Goblin Art - Custom Orders

I am not accepting new special orders, wholesale orders or commissions at this time.

Over the next few months I will be the primary caregiver for our 2 yr old while my husband is working full-time outside the studio. This will allow me as few as 3 hours per week for maskmaking. So I am not accepting new orders over this time, and I have cut back my 2010 show and event schedule. I will however, be using my limited studio time to prepare for my two remaining Pacific NW events , and I hope to still provide my main two US retailers with a limited number of masks.

I do not know how long this schedule will remain in effect, but I thank you for your patience until I am once again able to accept your orders.

I will update this page as well as my weblog with a new announcement at that time.

Requesting a Special Order

1. Cost:

There is a special order minimum of $150 for Goblin Art's masks and wearable horns*
Special order masks based on Monica's existing designs usually range in price from $65-$350.
Completely custom or one-of-a-kind mask commissions typically start at $300-$500.

*Items costing less than $150 may be combined to reach the $150 minimum.

2. Timeframe / waiting list:

Most special orders will take 2-3 months from scheduling until completion**.
Tighter deadlines may be possible but will require an additional rush fee to cover overtime, rescheduling and related expenses.

** The actual start date for creation of a special order piece depends on the number of orders that have previously been scheduled during that time period, as well as the order's proximity to busy seasons such as Mardi Gras (Jan/Feb) and Halloween (Sept/Oct).

3. No copyright infringements: Please do not ask for an unlicensed reproduction of another artist's design. This includes most mask designs seen in movies or on television, as well as the unlicensed copying of design elements from original 2D or 3D artworks.

4. Mask style: If you are requesting a completely custom piece, the design you request should reflect a similar aesthetic to Monica's other masks. Monica's masks combine fantasy, classical, and tribal-inspired design elements. Please do not request mask designs of a gruesome or violent nature.

5. Reference materials: If you can provide sketches, reference photos, or even fabric swatches, it can be very helpful in creating your special order mask. You can also refer to Monica's other masks to help narrow down the specific style you are looking for.
