PORTLAND MASK-MAKER'S WORK FEATURED ON WORLD FAMOUS ROCK BAND ALBUM COVER

Nine masks created by Monica Roxburgh of Goblin Art in Portland, Oregon are featured on Iron Maiden's new Dance of Death album cover released September 8th 2003, and on the album's Wildest Dreams single, currently playing in the top 10 of UK music charts.

The masks are being used by the band for promotion of the new album, and have already been seen on Iron Maiden posters, t-shirts and painted on the tour bus.

Dave Pattenden from Sanctuary Group (Iron Maiden's promoter) comments on the masks: "We sourced the masks from [Goblin Art] because we thought they were so good. In fact they were far better than anything that was readily available in London by miles in look, design and construction."

A native of New Zealand, Monica has been making masks for over seven years. In 1999 she set the Goblin Art studio up in North Portland, and since then has sold more than 400 of her handmade masks through www.goblinart.com. Her masks and sculpture have also been shown at the Annual Greystone Gallery Mask Exhibition, Portland's Saturday Market, several NW Renaissance Faires and Science Fiction Conventions, and at the French Mask Market in New Orleans.
